Sarah Hammond

Sarah Hammond

Sarah has always loved words. She worked as a lawyer in the City with dry serious words for several years, but after a while, the lure of sparkling story-words tempted her away to do an MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University. She graduated with Distinction.

Sarah lives in Bath and writes fiction for young adults and younger readers inspired by her love of nature, travelling and secret unseen worlds that weave through ordinary life.

The Night Sky in My Head is shortlisted for three awards in 2013: Calderdale Children's Book of the Year Award, James Reckitt Hull Children's Book Award and Leeds Book Award.

'It's a compassionate story, gripping as well as worthy.'
